Playgroups
Join a playgroup and share experiences, challenges and advice with other mothers, while you and your children make friends. Nursing, teething, potty training and introducing a new baby into the family are easier with the support of others you’ll meet through your playgroup. Most groups are age-based, but we also offer special interest groups, including those for moms who work or share similar hobbies, such as hiking.
Monthly Newsletter
To keep you well informed you will receive a monthly SMMC newsletter filled with information, resources and articles for parents. The newsletter also communicates news about members and their families, SMMC events and opportunities to support the community, and includes an invaluable calendar of classes and events throughout Marin County and the surrounding Bay Area.
Monthly Social
Looking for a night off? A little pampering? Join an enthusiastic group of women in pursuit of a balanced life…and a little fun away from the kids at SMMC's monthly social events. Every month there is an opportunity to learn something new, partake in an interesting activity or just unwind, relax and meet friends.
Educational Programs
Questions about what nutritious meals your little one will eat? Sibling rivalry? Preschool panic? We’ve got you covered! Attend free seminars given by notable guest speakers on the most relevant child-related issues. Childcare is available during educational programs to make it accessible for parents to attend.
Special Events
SMMC hosts several annual family events, including an outdoor Spring Carnival, a costume Halloween Bash and a festive Holiday Party. In addition, SMMC hosts new member coffees and social events for parents.
In A Pinch
Imagine having a community willing to shop for groceries and deliver meals after your baby is born or when you are in a pinch. Every month we’ve have members “on-call” to help other members through difficult situations.
Community Outreach
SMMC proudly supports organizations in our local community by publicizing volunteer opportunities, organizing donations, and developing special programs over the holidays and throughout the year.
