SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP LEADERS

Responsibilities The groups are the heart and soul of SMMC. It is one of the best ways for members to find others that have kids the same age, share an interest and find others in their village for support and friendship. The friends and connections made through the groups can last a lifetime! The Group Leader is the glue that brings the group together. There can be more than one leader and creating a team for planning activities makes for lighter work for all.

Role of the Group Leader Includes:
  • Welcomes new members
  • Plan activities or helps others plan activities
  • Helps facilitate WhatsApp conversation
  • Applies for funding for group activities through SMMC
  • Fill out after event survey and reimbursement request

    • Groups that are in need of leaders include:
  • Asian Families
  • Au Pair Host Families
  • Single Parents
  • Special Needs Families
  • One + Won
  • Multiracial Families

    • 1-2 hours per month
