Emma loves spending time with family, traveling and hiking. She has a passion for food and wine and is often found in the kitchen cooking (most of the time with wine!). She has adopted bay area sports and is a San Francisco Giants season ticket holder.

I started my career as a young rainmaker attorney practicing mergers & acquisitions in New York City and representing clients from private funds to luxury brands. True to my middle-brained nature and passion for creating, in parallel to my practice of the law I have successfully launched, from concept to market, luxury event and floral design, prestige skincare, and building materials companies. I continue to invest myself in the growth of my family’s manufacturing businesses. For fun, I enjoy spending time with my husband Dean and our daughter Fleur, traveling, spinning, gardening, cooking for last minute dinner parties, and making all things beautiful.

Kristen grew up in Southern California and moved to the Bay Area in 2012. Her first time visiting Marin was on a bike ride with her husband from the city over the bridge to Sausalito. She nearly ran into a few things gawking at the beauty that is Marin and decided she must move here! She and her husband are both CPAs and met at KPMG. Since moving to Marin, they have welcomed two kids, a now 2-year old daughter and baby boy. Kristen has been an accounting and finance professional for 14 years and is currently an accounting policy director at MUFG Union Bank. While mostly focused on family these days, she tries to find time for travel, friends, biking and swimming.

I was born and raised in Greenwich, CT and have lived in New Orleans, New York, San Francisco and London before moving back to the Bay Area. While living in London working toward a degree in Architectural Interior Design, I met my wonderful husband, and filled with excitement and adventure, we packed our bags and trekked back to the Bay Area to build a family and home. Since then, we've spent over 6 years in Marin where I've become a mother to our amazing daughter, Skyler, and have balanced my time between raising her and taking on various interior design projects. We've also enjoyed the area so much and love the beauty, vibrancy, and community we've found in this place of peace, much of which was built from the community and friendships fostered from playing and volunteering with SMMC.

My husband and I moved to the Bay Area from Victoria, BC, Canada almost 4 years ago and to San Rafael 2 years ago. I have a diverse background in social work and counseling, yoga teaching, and building design. In addition, I helped create and run my husband’s tech startup for two years before having our daughter, Isla. I’m happiest when I get to exercise, play outside, make art, dance, travel and spend time with family and friends. I love everything Marin has to offer families and SMMC really helps me feel connected to community.

Director, The SMMC Crier

Yolanda became an SMMC member four years ago, after her first child was born. She and her husband, Claas, moved from Europe to Marin for what they thought would last only one year. Six years later, they still cannot resist the Californian sunshine and beaches. You’ll often find her in a dance class at Rocco, hiking China Camp, or on family road trips. Yolanda’s career background is in Law and corporate transformation and right now, she's having fun overseeing content of The Crier.

Fifteen years ago Shannon met the love of her life, Rolf, while sailing in Cleveland, Ohio. After a few months of long distance dating she decided to follow him west and moved to San Francisco. They lived in the City for 12 years where they enjoyed all that San Francisco offers before getting married, starting a family, and moving to Marin. Since moving to Tiburon, Shannon has focused on raising their three energetic kids, Will (6), Isla (4), and Luke (2), while chasing after their Golden Retriever, Abby, who has run off with someone’s lovey.  While the kids are sleeping, at school, or otherwise occupied (destroying the house or looting the refrigerator) Shannon is busy fulfilling her volunteer roles for her kids schools and approving SMMC membership requests. In what little free time Shannon has, she enjoys reading, napping, and drinking wine

Playgroup Engagement

As a Marin native and UC Berkeley alum, my heart shall forever belong to the Bay Area, and I love that I have the opportunity to raise by two amazing boys in such a special place. I work full-time and juggle at balancing it all, but on the weekends we unwind by taking advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery in the north bay.

Online Services

Jessica, a Mill Valley native, spent 12 years driving digital strategies for start-up and established companies before her passion for health and fitness led her to pursue her dream of opening a fitness studio. After six successful years, Jessica sold the studio and is now pushing the pause button to slow down, travel and engage in self-study to discover what her next venture may be. Find her taking class at one of the many awesome fitness studios in Marin, hiking the trails of Mt. Tam, going for walks and hanging out at the park with her son, Boden, and enjoying a glass of wine (or bourbon) with her husband, Sam.
