Philanthropy Ed Series: Live Zoom with Marin Foster Care Association
Join us on Zoom to learn more about Marin Foster Care Association and how they are supporting and advocating for foster kids in our county. This month we are hosting a drive to help gather new items for foster kids and teens that are aging out of the system.

Who we are and why we do what we do…
Marin Foster Care Association (MFCA) has been a registered 501(c)3 non-profit since October 2015. Originally founded in 2003 as a chapter of the California State Foster Parent Association, we moved toward independency as a non-profit and expanded our mission and services in response to the Resource Family Approval Act (RFA) of January 2017. RFA re-defined “foster parents” to include traditional foster families, foster-to-adopt families, relative and non-relative care providers – Resource Families.
We address the well-being of ALL children within the dependency system (including foster and fost-adopt children, in home and non-minor dependents), and serve the full constituency of caregivers for that population. As the county’s primary provider of foster care support services, MFCA focuses on turning a period of profound crisis in a child’s life into a time of security and healing.
